Question: Is my on-the-spot too cynical!?
Fight with Quill

Bigots crowd the avenue
and I am pulled apart
The disjunction of my fellow man
not meant to rent the heart
Down the cleft of dangers soul
we all so closely walk
High-strung, hell-bent MonteOath
the circling of the hawk
An Eagle is the bird of prey
my prayer is that we find
another road away from here,
the construct of the mind
And to my men I will command
to draw from weapons might
The sharpest sword is found on page
and not in sheath of Knight

If you do not understand, be not afraid… neither do I!. I had meaning intended but I am not so sure it bled through my wording!. If you find any, please let me know…Www@QuestionHome@Com

After reading this carefully three times, I can honestly say that I can make an interpretation!. You wish to fight against the unfairness of intolerance and prejudice with the pen as your sword, and you ask the world to join in the fight with you!. Your heart is rent by this unfairness and this has made you not only long for another road away from the avenue crowded with bigots, but also stronger in your stance, with the heart of an eagle!. That may be way off, but it is a beautiful thought!. There is so much vivid and evocative imagery in this poem!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I understand it, I guess!.!.!. Though, I doubt that I understand your poem more than its author does!.

"Hell-bent" sounds like an oath which might bend the will of hell, or something!.

I like the idea of fighting with words!.!.!. it shows that it's not your desire to be drawn in to fights; but, also shows that you feel there are things, like bigotry, worth fighting!.

I really like your poem!.!.!. which is what makes people thankful for certain good people who are willing to draw weapons!. Those inspired by bigotry, have hatred that might inspire people to fight them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Unfortunately, the west is dead and the Eagle is dying!. She is being suffocated by her people!. We are chaining her wings and killing her, we are standing by as we let idiots and fools make decisions that our lives must swing with!. We are condemning ourselves to death, to pain, and devastation!. Draw your sword, my Knight, we will weather this gail anew and either watch the world spiral into hell, or be the hand drawing it up to heaven!. For a better world, my friends, a better world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your meaning sure bled through to me!.!.!. the observations we make and speak and/or write about others colors the general opinion of everyone towards either acceptance or hatred of those not in the majority!. This is like a type of warfare!. Good piece, you should keep with this muse for a while!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is this, in any way, speaking out against parts of "America"!.!.!. not the land that we love but the Bureaucracy of it all!? I see, in the part about the Eagle, it seems you are talking about the West!.!.!. this may be a shot in the dark but, I hope it is at least a good guess!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

oh you its amazing!. very strong!.!.!.brave!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
