Smell Silence

Smell the silence, it reaches for you
envelopes you, wraps you, in its cocoon!.
Sweet, sticky, stagnant!.!.!.it welcomes you!.

Clarity of focus, flame's flicker stilled!.
Primal rhythms populate the haze
calming all sounds!.!.!. even more!.

Smell the silence, it now knows you,
comforts you, warms you, feeds you!.

"Smell the silence," "sounds of silence," this type of imagery is my favorite, engaging the ultimate reaches of the senses!. You have done so several times in this poem!. I doubt that I will ever attain spiritual "clarity of focus," but instead will live until the end in the haze!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
