I know a man
who has grown old
whose food is squished
and then pureed
his skin is crinkled
see it fold
his brain is shrunken
and decayed
he thinks he has
a Wayback Machine
he speaks of wood
and calls it green
he has his moods
but I can see
he'll always write
great poetry!.

Old poets
Regardless of a persons age:

Age has nothing to do with it
if you still have it
one can still write poetry
however depending on age there may be history
and will have experience
if he is happy doing this

No, we get old, we get cranky, we get hard headed and we write what we want to read, and it isn't always good to others, but we love it!.

Seriously though some of the people I read are older than I and do a better job of it, so I have to say YES, and hope that mine get a bit better as I age!.!.!. Heck, I just hope I age!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
