I bend low, so slowly, careful to move, not the air!. I watch her, focused, deliberate!. Her breakfast of my blood… She drinks of me and I bleed… I swat the mosquito and lose no more!. I don't think it existed in 1993!. If it did, I certainly knew nothing about it!. But self-consciously sensitive, tortured souls with artsy tendencies have always been around in one form or another, under one name or another!. In the 1800's they were called "Romantics"; in the 1950's they were "beatniks", just to give a couple of examples!. Ug, you're probably right--the state of cool has lost an awful lot since the days of Miles Davis, hasn't it!? As to the poem, I think you should remove the line "I swat the mosquito," leave the reveal to the end!. Perhaps replace with "Effortlessly, I brush her aside," or something like that!. It's the only way they know how to release pain!. I was a cutter and still am!. I believe that if i share my emotions, i will be weak!. you will know how to control so I cut to show i am tough!. i know, it's completely unorthodox but, it's how i keep from jumping!. if you go to my profile, you will read the poetry i write!.
