Question: Like this poem!? Bettany!? Anyone!?
Here's a poem!
The curtains are closing
over the corpse again
another loved one
left to a better world!.
Living in rejoice
at the throne of
the most high God,
bathed in glory!.
The casket is covered
black cloth stained
with the tears
of the ones who actually cared!.
The ones left behind
are distraught
about what they
should have done
But now it is too late
the curtains finally closing
It's over now
No one is sorry!.
This one isn't really my style, I was trying something new, so it's not one of my better ones!. I hope that someone likes it!. Bettany!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like it!.!.!.!. except that the last two stanzas are contrary to each other!. The ones left behind are distraught!.!.!.!.!. and then the last line is 'no one is sorry'!.!.!.!. if they are not sorrowful, then they most like are not distraught!.!.!. !?!?!?!? Perhaps you could end it without 'no one is sorry'!.!.!.!.!. leave it as 'it's over now!.'!.!.!.!.

Agreeing that you should look into Poe's work!. This one is slightly reminiscent in tone of much of his work!.
Little too prosy in execution for me, but otherwise it wasn't bad!. Could be polished up a bit and a title would be nice!. And I like that you tried something new!. I think that's probably one of the best things we can do for ourselves as writers!. Helps us to figure out what we're good at, what we need to work on, and what we like to do!. In other words, it helps us find our style, or at least tack it down a little more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
