Question: Do you like this poem!? Bettany!? Anyone!?
I like writing poems that don't rhyme!. Do you like this one!?

A monarch butterfly
Carried up by the wind
Fluttering it's tiny wings
but to no avail
Pushed backward
against the gusts
he flies forward
he never gives up
he never feels sad
He has his entire life
in front of him
to fly against the wind
of hardship!.

Bettany!? People!? I want honest opinions about this poem! I know it's not that good, not one of my better ones, but after I get advice I'll edit it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

OMG! This ones going on my refrigerator so I can read it over and over again!.

You have some great comments from your other answers who know more about poetry than I do!. This is truly inspirational work! To think you were so down yesterday and now you wrote this beautiful poem!. No words!.!.!.!.!.!.no words!.!.!.!.!.!.

I think you could write stories too!. You definitely have it in you!. You like tragic poems-----perhaps a story that seems like it is going to end tragic and then!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you use something like this to inspire!.

I'm glad you are still here on this earth!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you have a lot to offer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think its really good cuz it has good imagery, you know, you can "see" the poem, and everything youre describing =) But I also think it'd be a good idea to delete just the last line!.!.!.if it ends with "to fly against the wind" it sounds somehow more peaceful, and leaves the poem more "open" for people to think!.!.!.Good job!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Impressive!.!.!.
I like writing these types of prose too!. It is the picture and prose that makes a viable rhyme!. Not the actual rhyming words!. I think it shows a kind of 'class'!. Would you share and critique poems with me!?
When I see something that I would enjoy having flow from my own conception I am impressed!.
Peace!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd delete the last line -- you have a good piece until you explicitly tell us what you have already shown us!.

It's an interesting poem because you have given the Monarch butterfly human emotions -- therefore, your analogy is quite well done!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
