Question: What do you see in this poem!?
Curious Condemnation

Beggar of the stars
I am
pleading with the universe!.
Give me some small sign
I say
a letter in a verse!.
My memory does not aid my pen
My muse is fading fast
Parting with my final words
the ties of mortal mast
Praises of the wise
I am
seeking for a grain of skill
If I should move too far
I fear
they could not hear me still!.
A solemn question, why,
I ask
and they have bound me tight!.
Should I ask to die
they would
beat me through the night!.
For my curiosity
they have set a price
a wanted criminal
I am
for my sacrifice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Siren, this is wonderful!. I like everything about this poem from the content which touches me to the line breaks and rhyme scheme!. Great job!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A Siren being punished for asking 'why' (!?)!.
I see us being beaten for simple questions!. They (whoever THEY are) never like us sticking our noses in their issues!. And their issues stink, so I am not sure why we would want to in the first place! But I am glad that you are unafraid to as, even though it means the sailors will tie you to the mast and beat you!. We would never ask it of you but it is good to see that some of us have the balls for it, metaphorically speaking!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I see some one at a loss!. Not knowing where to turn and who to turn to!. I see some one with great compassion and a will to live, heedless of desperation!. And behind it all, I see a wonderful, creative writer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the crowds are not bowing then they are a bunch of asinine pricks! This is some of the most wonderful poetry I have ever read on this sight!. Just to think these others boast talent!Www@QuestionHome@Com
