On the birth of your grandchild
A very special baby
was born the other day!.
A baby of such sweetness
that mere words could never say!.
A baby just for spoiling
and bouncing on your knee
to buy the latest toys for
and brag about with glee!.
To memorize the date and time
and height and weight at birth
to fill your life with memories
andy happy hours of mirth
to bring back memories also
that you've always held so dear
engraved with love upon your heart
the times of joy and fear
of kissing away tears of fright
when they awoke from dreams
of giving in to all their whims
and going to extremes
sweet smiles of such innocence
with mischief on their minds
each smile and tear a mem'ry
to recall from time to time!.
Yes, this is a special baby
an angel from above
a child of your child,

That was really nice! Sweet, thoughtful and seems to really capture what a child is, as well as the relationship of this child to grandparents ("inheritance", "bring back memories" etc)!. Well done!. Sell it to Hallmark or something!Www@QuestionHome@Com
This is one of those poems that you read and can't help going "awwww!." Well done!. This is one of those occasions where being overly sentimental is a good thing!. Keep up the good work!.
