Partially true, but one must point out that everyone you mentioned also had what they saw as a complete set of rights and wrongs!. That it is different from your set or my set doesn't change the fact that they had things they saw as wrong and things they saw as right!.

But I would also point out that even Jesus Himself saw the world in something of a gray!. When He first came across Mary Magdelene, she was a prostitute!. And she was about to be stoned by the crowds for being one, as the law that God handed down had said to do!.

That is when Jesus said that "he who is without sin cast the first stone!." This convinced them to leave, but in this case Jesus did convince many to go against the law of God Himself!. Did Jesus sin because of this!?

No!. He was following the spirit of the law, which was to bring and keep all close to God so that they would follow Him and benefit by such!. The crowd was following the letter of the law, but misunderstood its spirit and reason!. Jesus saw that spirit and reason, and went against the law as it was written to uphold what it was about!.

The situation was a gray area, Jesus found the way to a clearer right in it!.

So there can be clear differences in right and wrong, but in many cases the situation can be a gray area!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

um no freakin duh wishful lol =]

In my opinion, truth and right are not tied together in anyway, but rather people who believe something that is true is right or vise versa!. For example, because Hitler thought it was "true" that Jews were the cause of the world's problems, he thought it was right to do what he did!. As for the Christian thing that is just a matter of opinion!. Because they think that is true they also think it is right but that does not mean the rest of the world must believe it is right also (although it would be very wise if they did)!. Truth and Right go hand-in-hand!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Right and wrong - who's to say what the difference really is!.

It all depends on the circumstances - do you listen to her story or, even better, his!?

There are various ways to interpret what is wrong is usualy right

For example, if someone is wrong by yelling at you morning noon and night

I think it would be okay to make amends no matter who is wrong

And focus on working together in search of TRUTH'S sweet song !!Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's a good question, and it gives me pause, because one might initially think that of course, there is a clear difference!.

but not so!.!.!. all things are relative, and it is hard to declare something as being absolute, and correct for everyone!. One person's truth is another's idea of insanity!.

I could say that it is clearly right that we are here, since we ARE here!. But some would probably even question that!

I remember reading something in one of Robert Heinlein's book!.!.!. he said that if there is one true purpose for our existence it is to reproduce our own kind, and to keep our species alive!. I would consider that to be an absolute truth FOR US but not necessarily for some other species on another planet who might run into some of our outer space junk!.

interesting question!

Yes, there is also a clear difference between truth and lies!. The problem is none of those concepts are absolute, they all require a reference point or standard for comparison!. Since Hitler and his followers created the reference point their behavior was with in the rules!. Every group uses a similar circular process to do what they want and then justify it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What is right or wrong is a matter of personal perspective!. It's just that in the case of our world, often majority opinion tends to overrule minority opinion, basically because people feel there has to be SOME definition of what is right and what is wrong!. But that group definition can change if the minority can become the majority!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I don't believe that!. There are no absolutes in matters of the conventional, day-to-day world!. A good deed may be motivated by selfish desires!. Likewise, a bad act could lead unexpectantly to a positive end!.
The word truth has more than one meaning!. If you mean facts, then I believe it!. For ex!., it is the truth that if I can't breathe, I will feel discomfort!.
If truth refers to beliefs, then I view it with skepticism!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is a good question!.

There are so many different belief systems out there!. What's correct in one area is totally outrageous to another group!.

And it all seems to be the luck of the draw as to where you were born and what you were taught

For some reason I keep thinking of the Hippocratic oath!.!.!.
"first do no harm"!.!.!.

It can be very confusing, especially when one group spouts reasons for what they are doing, but in actuality, they have a whole different agenda behind what they are saying and doing!.!.!.!.am I clear as mud!?!?!?

The Bible can be very confusing since there was a problem with the translations of the original text and how certain groups transform it to meet their own needs!. Even some leaders have treated the 10 Commandments as ala carte items-meaning they pick and choose the ones they will follow

Each of us has to read and learn all we can and decide what our own personal truths will be and hopefully "do no harm"Www@QuestionHome@Com

Truth is a weird concept!. Who gets to define what the truth is!? Everyone has their own truth!.

Some people KNOW they will go to heaven (or hell) when they die!.

Others KNOW that neither heaven or hell exist!.

So you see, we each have our own truths, and because of that, sometimes the lines between right and wrong are blurred!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, and it is defined by the "common good"!. If it for the good of the many, then it is right!. Society dictates the norm, unfortunately!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think Hitler thought what he was doing was Right at all, I think he was just being not only just selfish but he was power hungry, for lack of a better word!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everybody has their own perspective on lifeWww@QuestionHome@Com

right and wrong depends on who you are!. I could think something was right and someone else could think it was wrong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
