"lies in the mirror"

Where is the man I used to be,
Everyday, in the mirror I'd see!.
The reflection seems to pass me by,
sometimes I just wish I could cry!.

Time it flies, just like a jet,
My best years!.!.!.I lost that bet!.
One more year and I'll be there
Fifty years old, without a care!.

My legs that let me run so fast,
I've lost count how many casts!.
My memory is not so hot,
Golden Years!.!.!.I think not!.

At times I think I'm young again,
then I think of where i've been!.
All those friends and sad goodbyes,

We are both in the same boat - I sympathize with your poem - life on disability - death waiting around the door!. Oh well, the old sayings still come to mind - "Live everyday like the last" and "Life is terminal"!. These are tough facts to swallow - but to swallow is life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it reflects exactly how you feel!. Again, the neat thing about poetry, its your expression of your self!. It foretells the future, looks at the past, reflects on the present, and you've done exactly that!. Young people will understand what you mean that "time flies just like a jet" and again how true and thank you for sharing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i tink its kewl the way u express urself!.i can feel tht truth lies beneath tht poem!.it ssays alot about how you feel!.though the emotional attachment is not high, the poem stil expresses a kinda of perfect ring to it!.i absoluetly love it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
