Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Wow! that's a tall order for just one poem!.!.!.let's see what we can do: In order to use aliteration with your name, I'd need to know more than the first letter of your name!.!.!.but since you're screen name is "Kod", I'll guess that it's "Cody"!.!.!.so here goes!.!.!. You call and ask "can Cody come!?" Then "whoosh" you've hung up the phone Like a ghost who boo's you then disappears Leaving you a stone who's all alone Absence with a sense of humor I'm a friend who doesn't double-dare I like to tease but am never mean Though I'm not sure if you care I like to swim, I like to run I like to laugh and watch TV But I'd rather watch a movie than read Because reading's never been fun for me If I'm someone you'd like to know more about Come by after class and check me out --------------------- Rhyme scheme: abcb defe ghih jj, which is a loose form of sonnet, were the even lines rhyme and the end is a rhymed couplet (a pair of lines)!. Aliteration: can cody come, doesn't double dare Assonance: ghost who boo's you Consonance: come class check Metaphor: you a stone who's all alone Simile: Like a ghost Personification: Absence with a sense of humor onomatopeia: whoosh rhythm: begins in iambic, some anapaestic as well!. The poem won't win any prizes, but it meets all your criteria!.!.!.hope this helpsWww@QuestionHome@Com |
