House of Sand
Walking down this sand driven road
With my weapon slung over my shoulder
And a prayer lifting in my mind
That Persian fire begins to die
And slumber beneath the desert
While in the distance an eerie hymn is sung
As night brings shadows across this ancient land
Bringing one less day in this house of sand
Rundown shacks and women wearing black
Paint the horizon where
The flying man tries to take flight
Wondering where freedom can be found
But gunshots from the Iris keep him down
Though in the distance a lake of lost souls
Shackles the lion that roars no more
For he has become old and tore
His legend and tyrant hand
No longer hold the house of sand
No difference between night and day
When home is so far away
And time is your only friend
Not knowing when the end will begin
Watching palm trees sway in the wind
Reminds me that all will be forgiven
When peace conquers this land
And brings down the house of sandWww@QuestionHome@Com
