Question: Morbid Writers/Poets of mid 1800's!?
I am writing a paper about Emily Dickinson and I just need a couple of writers to compare her works!. to!. I have Edgar as an example but I just need a few more!. They have to have similar writing styles to Emily Dickinson!. Thanks ever so much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Virginia Woolf was early 20th century!.

I don't know anyone who had a style like Emily Dickinson, but Hawthorne had a real morbid streak (check out his short story "Young Goodman Brown")!.

Stephen Crane is the only other American poet of the 1800's I can think of who wrote the sort of short, spare poems Dickinson did!. I'm sure you can find his poetry on-line!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
