Question: Is this really a Love Sonnet!?

A new slant on a partial Love sonnet!.

Dawn by name and dawn by nature too,
Engaging and enchanting all she met
Her beauty opened eyes to pastures new!.
Her mere name can bring chills to me, still yet!.
My heart, at her remembrance, swiftly beats
And dreams of love’s secretions, all but gone
She loved to top and tail beneath the sheets
Each morning, I woke at the crack of Dawn

Yeah, a sonnet would have four more lines of abab and then a couplet of cc!. So 6 more lines added would round it off!. As a poem, it is quite beautiful and has great potential as a love sonnet should you choose to flush it out - no pun intended, lol!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hmm!.!.!.I thought sonnets had 14 lines!. The rhyming scheme of this poem is ABABCDCD!. There ought to be 6 more lines to it - EFEF GG!. But that's for the traditional English Sonnet!. Now for modern poems, anything can happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
