There’s a big bright ball
In the ocean
Blown by the wind
From the shore
It’s flown away
And floating
Foreboding,
Nor for boating
A hazard to navigation
There’s a shiny bright orb
In the distance
Air traffic control
Has it scoped
It moves in strange motions
Around us
Surrounds us
And smokes
Probably carcinogenic
The brown ooey goop
Beneath us
Is some mixture of water
And dirt
Between our toes
It goes Squooshing
Smooshing
And squirts

We can't eat raw clams from our Bay any more!. We used to dig in with our toes, pick up the clams and immediately take them home and make linguine with clam sauce!. Now we have linguine with vegetables!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Aah! The joys of nature, in all ts pristine beauty!. Despite the theme, I enjoyed many things here, above all the sound and rhythm of the words - independent of their meaning!.
One nit to pick: I do not understand the reasoning behind capitalizing "squooshing!." If you cannot justify this, I shall have to take this up with the Board of Directors!.

Evidently Jeff has never taken off his shoes and waded the creek where the cows drink, The mud Squooshing and Smooshing between toes, and not knowing for sure if it's mud and something the cows left behind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I don't know what a brown ooey goop would be!. There's nothing like that where I go to the beach--just alot of sand!. I see Grannyjill goes to the beach in Wales and has had the experience with it!. I like the poem though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Many a happy holiday with the kids in Wales ended with them covered in a brown goo (or gloop) - I tried not to think what it actually was!.!.!.!.!.the town sewer pipes stuck out into the sea!.
