I grasped it,
trying to forget it,
holding onto
what should have
never been!.

I held it,
trying not to need it,
hoping to love
without restraint
but no!.

I saved it,
trying to keep it secret,
but you can see
the iron
in my eyes!.

I had
the best intentions,
and tried to give
to the world!.
But I kept it too close!.

It's lovely!. I'm sorry you got deleted again!. Most likely the work of a troll!. I had someone trolling my poems when I first started posting and had several deleted!. I went to forums and asked why they were being deleted and was answered by an actual Yahoo employee!. He said that it was because of the way my question header was worded!. He also said that I can't ask for someone to read it or how they like it, or to even critique it because that is considered solicitation!. If it is not in the form of a question that is also grounds for removal!.
He then suggested that post my poem question header with "How can I improve it or make it better" So, I took his advice and started including "how can I improve it" and the violations stopped!. Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is nice, I like how there's no clear definition of what "it" is--could be love, could be understanding, could be!.!.!.

I'm wondering if switching have and never in the first stanza would be an option, just a suggestion, and I think a case of six of one, half a dozen of the other!.
