Question: What poem makes you cry!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Another user posted these a few months back and they brought a tear to my eye, sorry they're a bit long!

My name is Sarah
I am but three,
My eyes are swollen
I cannot see,
I must be stupid
I must be bad,
What else could have made
My daddy so mad!?
I wish I were better
I wish I weren't ugly,
Then maybe my mommy
Would still want to hug me!.
I can't speak at all
I can't do a wrong
Or else I'm locked up
All the day long!.
When I awake I'm all alone
The house is dark
My folks aren't home
When my mommy does come
I'll try and be nice,
So maybe I'll get just
One whipping tonight!.
Don't make a sound!
I just heard a car
My daddy is back
From Charlie's Bar!.
I hear him curse
My name he calls
I press myself
Against the wall
I try and hide
From his evil eyes
I'm so afraid now
I'm starting to cry
He finds me weeping
He shouts ugly words,
He says its my fault
That he suffers at work!.
He slaps me and hits me
And yells at me more,
I finally get free
And I run for the door!.
He's already locked it
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me
Against the hard wall!.
I fall to the floor
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues
With more bad words spoken!.
"I'm sorry!", I scream
But its now much too late
His face has been twisted
Into unimaginable hate
The hurt and the pain
Again and again
Oh please God, have mercy!
Oh please let it end!
And he finally stops
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless
Sprawled on the floor
My name is Sarah
And I am but three,
Tonight my daddy
Murdered me!.

And also this one:

Dear Jesus, bless my daddy
Make him happy all his life
And if you will, bless mummy too
‘Cause she is daddy’s wife!.

It’s only a month or two till Christmas
And I am not Santa Claus
Please listen, Mr!. Jesus
‘Cause I had a little sister
And she slept there in that cot
But she doesn’t anymore, Mr!. Jesus
True she’s not!.

And she was such a little girl
And she didn’t cry too much
I always called her “Barbie”
And she felt so warm to touch!.

But last week Barbie went away
And I’m not sure where she is
Daddy said to look, Dear Jesus
‘Cause now our Barbie’s yours!.

Do you have her Mr!. Jesus!?
‘Cause I’d like her back a lot
I’m so lonely on my own
And she’s not in her cot!.
I asked my mummy where she went
But mummy only cried

Then yesterday I heard Aunt Jean
Tell Grandma that she died
Mr!. Jesus, won’t you tell me
Is Barbie there with you!?
I would like her back for Christmas
She’s the only friend I’ve got
‘Cause my mummy has my daddy
And I want Barbie in her cot!.

I have a little secret, Mr!. Jesus
That I’ve tried so hard to keep
I’ve got a lot of mummy’s lollies
That she takes to make her sleep
I’ll sleep a lot
Then when I wake at Christmas
I’ll find Barbie in her cot!.

Mr!. Jesus, they taste bitter
And the lights are turning black
But when I wake at Christmas
You’ll have sent my Barbie back
Will you tell God I love him
‘Cause my teacher says I should
And I’ve tried so hard to be good

I know I am only a little boy
But I am really very strong
I would have saved you from the cross
‘Cause you did nothing wrong!.

Mr!. Jesus, I feel tired
My tummy’s burning, I wonder why!?
Gee, it’s hurting Mr!. Jesus
But I am brave, I must not cry
Mr!. Jesus, stop it hurting
Daddy come and make it well
There’s my Barbie, Mr!. Jesus
Look she loves me, can’t you tell!?

I have stopped hurting now, Mr!. Jesus
And my forehead is not hot
Mr!. Jesus, won’t you let me play
With Barbie in her cot!?
Tell my daddy, Mr!. Jesus
And tell my mummy I told you
That we’ll both be home for Christmas
Me and Barbie too!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Victor Hugo, Tomorrow at Dawn

Tomorrow, at dawn, in the hour when the countryside becomes white,
I will leave!. You see, I know that you are waiting for me!.
I will go by the forest, I will go by the mountain!.
I cannot stay far from you any longer!.

I will walk the eyes fixed on my thoughts,
Without seeing anything outside, nor hearing any noise,
Alone, unknown, the back curved, the hands crossed,
Sad, and the day for me will be like the night!.

I will not look at the gold of the evening which falls,
Nor the faraway sails descending towards Harfleur!.
And when I arrive, I will put on your tomb
A green bouquet of holly and flowering heather!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Rainbow Bridge!. Don't know the authors sorry, but it's about a place where your pets go when they die and they wait for you at the Rainbow Brigde!. They run with a pack and one day their ears perk up, and they know it's you!. And Master and pet cross over the bridge together!. It always makes me cry when I hear it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

sad poems

Please don't mourn for me, I'm still here, though you don't see !. I'm right by your side each night and day, and within your heart I long to stay!.
My body is gone, but I'm always near!. I'm everything you feel, see or hear!. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart, as long as you keep me alive in your heart!.
I'll never wander out of your sight, I'm the brightest star on a summer night!. I'll never be beyond your reach, I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach!.
I'm the colorful leaves, when fall comes around, and the pure white snow that blankets the ground!. I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond, the clear cool water in a quiet pond!. I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring, the first warm raindrop that April will bring!.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine, and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine!.
When you start thinking there's no one to love you, you can talk to me through the Lord above you!. I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees, and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze!. I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep, And the beautiful dream that come while you sleep!. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face !.!.!.Just look for me !.!.!.I'm every place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
