Question: Back to the chess match!. Is the the truest one yet!?

The Black King
by TD Euwaite

I’ve aligned to your regulations
My Queen, and Bishops stand waiting
A thin wall of Pawns
Easily moved, sacrificed

I play last, defensive
My Knights and Rooks guard
Against the coming white hoard
As you advance

Each step is made to counter
Whatever piece you’re after
I know your only goal
Is taking me down, down

I stand as you deliver
Blows from hands that quiver
At the thought of letting me
Take the game
