Forgive me, please, know that I tried,
my problem is identified,
my blinded eyes, unlocked, can see
the reason, dear, why you left me!.
For you, for days and nights I cried!.

I told you, darling, that I lied,
condemned myself and crucified
everything I used to be!.
Forgive me please!.

Time forever I can't abide,
this reciprocity denied,
will hold in chains what once was free,
until you leave or come to me,
to tell me that our love has died!.

Wow!. I love the rhythm of the poem!. I feel the frustration, the woundedness!. What a common way to feel in the world!. The person did something to soil the relationship and now is waiting to see if the relationship will be rectified, but it is out of their hands, even if they are genuinely remorseful!. Well I don't think I've even heard the word rondeau and I find it appalling that a home school child would not only know of a poetry term but know the rules of said poetry term that a public school child hasn't even viewed with her eyeballs!
