Question: Can anyone tell me the meaning of the Shakespeare poem!?
"Shall i compare Thee to a Summer's day"

Shall I compare the to a summers day!?
thou are more lovely and more temperate!.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of may
And summer's lease hath all too short a date!.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines
and often is his gold complexion dimmed
and every fair from fair sometime declines
By change or natures changing course untrimmed
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest
Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade
When in eternal lines time thou grow'st
So long as men can breath, or eyes can see
So long this lives, and gives life to thee!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think it's about being grateful for everything summer has to offer, and someone is trying to look at all positive things about summer and compare to something else to see if it's better!. i cant really tell, just because shakespeare is very hard to understand! good luck?Www@QuestionHome@Com
