Question: Do you connect to this!?
Want tears at my core
Something I have always wiled away
Always returns
Haunting does not describe
Torture
Is how it sought to bring me down
Before I accepted it
Took the want unto my own bosom
And it raped me
Death to reality
All there is
Is want
Not Desire
Not hope
Wishes
Dreams
Pure and simple
WANT
I want
But I know I cannot have
Ripping at my sole…
not even my soul

my thought…!?

Pen does not write
Words cannot tell
Mouth never speaks
And I want to explain
But it is always caught in the back of my throat
Is there no escape!?

Help me edit if you will but pleas don’t let it stop you from giving thought to my words…Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love the "death to reality" part!. However, its like reading a list from there on!. Some of it was solid to me!. You probably should consider longer lines from there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I must say that I can connect to this!. I feel a void in this poem, but not a void emotionally, but a void of words, of expression, of the humanity required to give and take the voice and all the intricacies within!. I was talking to a friend the other day about why we and the animals did the exact same things, but why everything we did was more complicated!. She answered brilliantly!. "We have language!." she said!. "Language messes everything up!."
Too true, my friend, too true!. I'll grill you on your spelling and grammar later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm a little confused about the ripping at my sole not even my soul--it's an interesting poem but also a bit confusing!. I'm not sure where to begin to help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
