SONG ENSNARING SIREN part VI

The seasons changed,
Eva estranged herself
from rage and hatred!.
Under the wings of
her Siren lover
the cover of darkness,
Love hovered and created
a beauty beyond perfection!.

The priestess sighed
and raised an incense prayer
of thanks, the glare of ice
was gone from Eva's eyes,
the silent cries had stilled!.
The blackness had been willed away forgivness's wish fulfilled!.

"Never leave me,"
Eva said, holding earth
and holding hand,
"I can stand with you,
without you, I would fall!."
The Siren witch,
of water and air,
knew all within the heart
of Eva; loved all that she knew!.

With gleeful grin
the priest raised his torch!.
"DESTROY THEIR SIN!"
The crowd rallied; sallied forth,
fires burning, fear churning
in their hands!.
Wickedness must be punished,
evildoers must be put down,
beneath the ground,
scattered to ash!.

The priest roved
through the forest,
followed by droves
