Question: Is my poem too!.!.!.vituperative!?
He is Maryland
Part of the country, but virtually unimportant
The “Phat” sneakers that were popular at one time
But are now tacky and old
Sitting in your closet
Begging to be cool again
He is the devil
Spending his lonesome days
Burning in the depths of the underworld
His red skin repelling everyone
His dreadful torch threatening the cruel lives around him
He is Los Angeles
Pretty on the exterior
Cold and fake inside
Sweet smiles and styles strutting around
Deadly secrets hidden from the tabloids
He sounds of hard, edgy punk music
Non-repulsive to only a small group of people
Pulsing harsh melodies in the heads of civilians
Horrible, cruel tunes stuck in your head with no remorse
He is an annoying weed
Growing around you-
You lack the power to cease it
It chokes you, teases you, torments you
While you stand there crying for help
He’s the most disgusting magazine
Staring at you from the supermarket checkout
Stamping its horrible images into your skull
He is bitter coffee
Enjoyable and relaxing to adults
While his peers taste sour, tasteless liquid
Listening to him is reading a Goosebumps book in the middle of the night
Shudders creeping up your spine as you indulge yourself in horror
He is being alone in the Kalahari Desert
Bitten by countless insects
Dehydrated in the overpowering sun
Wondering why you ever went there in the first place

He is a buzzing cicada
Flying up from the ground
Torturing citizens with their mind numbing sound
He is a haunted mansion
Tempting with its size
But evil crawls throughout the walls
Waiting for the perfect moment to make you scream
He is chili powder
The harsh spices ripping up your tongue on contact
Burning as they travel down your hollow throat
He is a lemon
The sour sting of juice biting your sensitive taste buds
Making you purse your lips and squint your eyes shut
He is cauliflower
The vegetable no one wants to taste
As they stuff it in their napkin out of their mother’s vision
He is blue dinosaur ice cream
Childish and silly
Staring at you from the menu of pure sugar
He is a broken, plastic McDonald’s toy
The consolation prize for bearing something utterly disgusting
He is collecting old, rotting teeth
Nostalgic at first,
Putrid for the rest of time
He is a rusty penny
Useless and outdated
Demeaning the smirk on Abe Lincoln’s face
He is Grammar
Staring at you from an overstuffed textbook
Laughing at your creative brain
Teasing you
For your mind is unconventional
As if mere imagination is a sinWww@QuestionHome@Com
