On a cold winters eve

The cry of a child
Hungry, in need

The scream of a girl
Beaten and scared

The wail of a baby
Alone in it's world

I hear you
But I fear

There is nothing
No way t ohelp

All I can do
Is sit down

And listen
To every

Single
yelp
