Question: A poem of tribute to my brothers and sisters!?
Semper Fidelis
By Semper Fi Reborn
Yellow footprints on the deck,
Taught me to stand in formation!.
Placed there for kids like me,
Seeking direction, lacking perfection!.
Recognizing neither!.
That's when perfection boarded my bus,
In a smokey!.
Voice raspy from commands!.
Movements precise!.
Uniform crispy and maintained!.
It was around three in the morning,
I thought I was dreaming,
Sgt!. Perfection started yelling!.
We started moving, and didn't stop!.
Until we each had yellow footprints!.
Yellow footprints in formation!.
Marching with elation, in step for the first time!.
When I stood on the parade deck,
At Parris Island in the sunshine!.
Those yellow footprints came to mind,
And reminded me of who I had become!.
Where I had come from,
And where I would go!.
Like Dan Daly and Chesty Puller,
I would forever guard the Eagle, Globe,
And Anchor like a part of me!.
Air, land, and sea!.
Marines never die!.
We're too stubborn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
