Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It could be but it is very difficult!.!.!. the thing is, many people don't want sappy poets on their pay role because too many are not open to the artistic expression that poets can create (I also write sappy stuff so pleas do not take it personal)!.!.!. BUT a good poet is often good in other branches of writing!. If you can combine your poetry with another skill you are more likely to go somewhere with it!. It is unfortunate that more people do not acknowledge the talent in poetry for the world or careers and business but may not be a horrible thing when you think about it!. If it was over commercialized then it would be destroyed!.!.!. To further try and answer your question, in the beginning you may not be able to rely soly on poetry!. But when you get up in another position such as journalism or art or!.!.!. the list is divers and long, and then you may be able to use your position to advance and spread your artistic soul!. I have always seen poetry as a way to enhance the life!.!.!. you can be a banker, politician, singer (<one way to use this skill) fast food worker etc!. etc!. etc!. and having your poems to share with others and write in time of need makes life better somehow!. Poetry is in life itself, nature and other things that are around us!.!.!. Do not give up hope though, it may be hard but others HAVE done it before you!.!.!. if you do find a way to do this please tell me, I would love to do the same!.!.!.
