I have come for her
by TD Euwaite

Comes a rider strange wandering
Painted pony, skins quite rare
What does he want from us
Why is he talking to my father

All the elders understand him
I can't here the words exchanging
He's a tall and handsome man
A different face from foreign lands

Why are all the women crying
And my mother brings me blankets
Why does he now lead two ponies
Why has he held out his hand

The Arabian, perhaps the most beautiful and desired after horse on the market!. No surprise that Light Foot should name him so!. This is a beautiful, succinct poem that sings to the soul!. I can smell the sweat of horse and man as they gallop under the moonlight, the blending of the soul with earth, the becoming one creature amongst splendor and spirituality!.
