This twisted, strange corridor!. Stumbled a few times along the way!. Mindful, from moments pensive Of the door at the end!. Digging my toes into the ground, Like roots, trying not to move forward!. Not succeeding!. Eventually, my journey will end!. Reaching my final destination, Placing my key in that lock!.!.!. Turning the glassy knob!. Proceeding to my final destination!. I believe that at our ages it is natural, and even healthy to think of our eventual departure!. This contemplation of your death reveals much about how you have lived your life!. I picture you as a warm, loving, and thoroughly decent person, who has brightened the lives of those who call you mother, grandmother, wife, or friend!. But the end brings back the joy and excitement of it that it may not be all that bad!. My only critique is you used "final destination" twice in 4 lines!. My home was built in '52!.!.!.!.!.solid wood doors and glass knobs too! It's a weekly challenge For me against hair-spray! To keep that knob clean, It gets all sticky!! But it sure looks pretty!
