Position:Home>Poetry> What do you think of my new poem? what does it mean to you?

Question:her fingers are searching
for someone to touch.
her eyes are seeing
but are closed shut.

her heart beating faster
she can't hold it in.
it beats even quicker
with the thought of her sins.

but she can't let herself regret
all the things she's done
she can't forget
all the battles she's won.

her lungs are gasping
for truth in this world.
her voice is shaking
with every lie, every word.

but even as the tears fall
likes swords into her heart.
the eternal sleep falls over her.
a new life she soon will start.

It is expressive; could it be that this individual is in love with another that is closed to options.

that is a great poem u ever thought of publishing?that is so deep.GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a beautiful poem about someone who is torn and hurt by the past but is battling to start over, a bittersweet theme. I think you could call it something like " Truth Into Tomorrow". Your poem has much poignancy and is very corporeal. Really good poem. Thank you.
