Is this poem any good and can you tell what it is about? Thanks for answering This poem is very good indeed. It is about longing and regret, but also about the love for life, and the ability to treasure that which is valuable even in the face of heartache. There is also, in the last line, a sense that these things are what the person referred to as "I" WOULD have loved -- if given the chance, so perhaps it's all a flight of fancy. Either way, it's an excellent poem, and I think you have talent! I agree, you are very talented, I see perhaps your childhood, and some of the things you miss, and you know now, that it's impossible to get that first time magic back |
