Question:Longing to search
Every leaf left unturned
Tracing old roots

Inside, a new clue
Tying my shoe

Braving the wind
Embarking on a journey with no clear view

You have turned to face the future after a long obsession in the past, perhaps. Learning from the past, of course, is valuable but you have realized that the future is what you need to face, and embrace.

I may be wrong for there is not a complete poem here just, as you say, poetic thoughts. Are you planning on expanding, writing a complete poem? You should, your thoughts show nice turn of phrase.

interesting...to me it seems some kind of a journey, where the narrator is remembering the past...trying to letting go of his past and going on a "voyage" and he doesnt know what lays ahead...well, no offence, but it could be someone leaving home to go to college...

I like your poem but I'm having a problem with the line "Tying my shoe." It seems to come from nowhere and doesn't fit with what the rest of the poem is trying to convey. It also seems that you were trying too hard to find a word that rhymed with "clue."

I agree that the verse "tying my shoe" does not fit into the message you convey. "Not sure what to do" may fit better but other than that it's a great write. Have you checked out starlite.com poetry site yet? I think you should.
