well features of a sonnet is:
- lyrics for a poem
-14 lines
-Each line has ten syllables
-Use of conceits: a metaphor that the poet usually extends and elaborates throughout the course of the poem.

Remember their are two types of sonnets

Italian and English

Of course I can tell by the rhyming scheme that you are doing an Shakespearean sonnet which is the English version.

Remember in a abab-cdcd-efef-gg scheme that there is three quatrains. And that is each one follows with abab rhyme scheme.

And that the sonnet ends with a rhyming couplet: two rhyming lines at the end of the poem.

Make sure to use structured meter, extended metaphors, and alliteration in your sonnet. If you not sure what this all means check in a dictionary for definitions, and also research english and Shakespearnean sonnet.

What is abab-cdcd-efef-gg form? Please be specific, sorry

Your talking about a Elizabethan Sonnet. You have to have ten syllables in each line and then each "letter" rhymes with the matching letter. There should be 14 lines all together. You should write about something you know. a Italian sonnet is easier. ABBAABBACDEDCE. They are so much easier the any English or Elizabethan sonnet.
