The Intercom - Do you like?

Question:'Eureka', I hear cried
I shudder inside
What has been done?
The new intercom

Beep buzz beep
I will never get sleep
It's placed in my room
Oh impending doom!

It's reach is too near
'Isn't it great dear'?
'A great invention'
I need protection

There is much bragging
I expect nagging
My fear is realized
I look to hide

Life has enough problems without adding another. I like it, good work.

One more technological device that deprives us of privacy and sleep. There is no hiding in the modern world, no getting away from work or family, even for a moment. "A great invention/I need protection," so true. Unfortunately we're all unprotected now.

Sometimes you just hate new stuff don'tcha. I like your poem. It's so true.
