Question:why or why not?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: why or why not?

Disagree, that would be mental masturbation, incest would be reading a family member's poetry...though I quess if you were reading it to your kids it would be....

Depends on the person reading. The same could be said for singing your own songs. For ex. I doubt Paul McCartney has any problem doing that. :)

Wrong, I have found that when reading what I write aloud, I might come up with something different than intended. I always recommend writers to read their own work aloud to be able to hear what impact it might have on others. spoken words can sound different than that of words flowing only through the mind.

Nah, not even close...doing it would be a virtual suicide suspended in time.

Difficult to say as it depends on the motives of the person composing and sharing. Some people do the emo thing and wear their depression and sadness on their sleeves and want everyone to know. . .

Others are more reserved. . those that don't share, you never hear from. . .

Others use the chance as a stump, to voice a viewpoint or let the world know of injustice or other causes. . .

Very complex question to answer. .

No! Where did you get an idea like that?

I agree with the guy from ohio. It's a naughty little pleasure of your own, when it's good. When it's bad, it's more like grinding your skin off with a cheese-grater. ew.

It could be if you suffer from symbiotic doppelganger telepathy, but that's pretty rare. I'd have to disagree in principle with that occasional distant possibility not included in the argument. That's about that, eh Pup!
