Beowulf.

It is a poem called Spring In Ireland & goes,
Spring in Ireland!the sun and rain,
Are playing with their toys again.
They first hang rainbows out to show,
returning birds which way to go.
As they come flying in their scores
From winter homes on other shores.
Then throw confetti in the trees
to welcome back the busy bees.
They paint an Irish country scene,
In forty different shades of green! Anon.

All Henry Lawson's poems, also AB 'banjo' Pattersons poems. Adam Lyndsay Gordon as well.

I was a huge fan of Keats when I was a kid ... OK I was a weird kid. I actually got him. Can I remember much of it. But Ode to a Nightingale sticks. Five Bells by Slessor was pretty good.

I write a bit myself and one of my own poems entitled "Twine" is actually my favourite but that might be an ego trip. It has brought more than me to tears as it's about a friend who committed suicide.

The Indian Serenade by P.B. Shelley or The Second Coming by W.B. Yeats
