Position:Home>Poetry> Analyse poem?????Question:Someday dreams will come true Stop colliding with reality Someday I hope that I can fly Soar into the skies wild and free If only I could just spread my wings With my hopes oh so naive I want to know what it's like To be up there, just me So many times I've dreamed it And so many times I've tried Every time I fall down though But I get back up again for another ride Because I will never give up For my dreams are all that is mine And as long as I have something I know that I'll be fine For you may never understand Why I still try to fly But I need to know if I can No regrets- at least try And every mountain I've climbed Every monster that lay slain Every life that has been saved Every sunbeam that escapes rain I know that I've helped with I know I've done what's right So now I'll test my wings one last time On my final flight tonight does any one have an idea what this poems about? please help!! and dont say "go do your homework" and stuff like that because that helps no one thanks! The poem is about persistence, perseverance. The repetition of the word 'someday' says that the narrator is looking forward to the 'day' that their dreams do come true. The trials, obstacles that the narrator experiences (Every time I fall down...mountian I've climbed, monster that lay slain) only makes them more determined to continue forward (I will never give up.) This is summed up in the last four lines, where the narrator again pushes themself (I'll test my wings one last time) in the belief that this effort (my final flight tonight) will give them the reward they want (soar into the skies wild and free.) |
