How can I go about putting a show of poetry together?

Question:Someone suggested doing a one woman show. I don't know I'm thinking of using some others at least one other person. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of doing such a thing myself. I'd rather do that with several authors involved. If it's your own poems you're showcasing, then maybe you should make sure you've got 2 or 3 talented actors (I didn't say full-fledged professionals, however) to read them or at least help you do it. Chosing a setting is important: I think it's down to which kind of poetry you want performed. It can be a church, a community center, a bar, a basement,somebody's garden...

i would say find a place that you want to use, ex: library, coffee shops, etc.... then promote your show, ex: fliers, pin ups at the coffee shop(their billboards), if you know of someone then ask them or ask around the local community centers about the poetry class and get someone from there, or try the art shops, good luck....
