Every last person in this so-called democracy should be up in arms, we are repeatedly robbed by our so-called 'leaders' for the betterment of themselves and their well connected buddies!. Every time you read or hear that the Government is paying for this or that, remind yourself that it is YOUR money they are using, it's the only money they have, except of course what they borrow from China!. Who do people think will get stuck repaying that!? Some of the very people who are most responsible for this economic quagmire are the ones being rewarded for having created it!. $170 million is a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of what the gov't spends, will be spending, and owes!. Besides, a lot of that money was for security, and for arrangements for a reasonably orderly gathering of a couple million people!. Only a small fraction of that money went to entertainment and parties!.

Rather than perpetuating the same tired old class warfare rhetoric, you should GET INVOLVED in getting gov't to spend less of your money on misguided, economically-ignorant programs it has no business engaging in in the first place!. Programs that are costing us hundreds of Billions of dollars!.

I'd say if the money is earned honestly, or passed down from forebears who earned it honestly, then let the dude spend it as he sees fit!. Would you want people sneering at how you spent your money!?
