Question: Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle's religion!?
I heard that they were theists, but not Christians!.
Any ideas on what religion they were, or if they believed in God, but didn't belong to a specific religion!? Maybe they were Christians!.

Could anyone tell me!? I'd rather have proof, but if you don't have any, that's fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The three you mention were not Christians, and indeed, could not have been since they all lived hundreds of years before the birth of Christ!.

Socrates was put to death by the Athenians for supposedly corrupting the youth of Athens with atheism!.

The predominant religion of their time and place was Greek Pantheism!. While there is no conclusive proof, by their writings and sayings, the three were probably religious only in the same way that Einstein was religious when he said things like "God does not play dice!."

They were more likely to identify "God" with the concept of the "Universal Ideal" rather than as a distinct personality in the recognizable Judeo-Christian context!.

Hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

there is no possible way they could have been xians, they were around a few hundred years b4 the birth of Yeshua bin Yosef!.

Remember all those greek gods!? Zeus!? Apollo!? The Oracle!? Now you're getting it!.!.!.!.

Greeks went thru a cycle of literal belief in their pantheon to just a folk mythology!. I don't know exactly what those philosophers thought about their gods!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They all lived in ancient Greece,so they would have worshiped pagan
