Question: Can one go from knowledge back to ignorance!? if not, why not!?

Ignorance is like a void -- it is like a empty vessel!. Ignorance can be described as a deficiency, what is lacking -- what has not been acquainted with!. When a deficiency is filled, when what is empty is filled one can not go back to that state in which they were prior!. Having filled it, the empty space is no more!.

It's like eating a piece of fruit!. Prior you had no associations to the fruit, for you were yet acquainted with the taste!. When people said, this certain fruit is so delicious -- all you could do was hear them out, it was not knowledge for you!. But when you ate the fruit yourself, you were acquainted with the taste!. Once this occurred you can not take away this experience, it is a part of you!.

Now one can willingly BE ignorant, that is be complacent to what they know, but this is not going back to that pre-knowledge state, merely negating what they have acquired!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

knowledge consists of beliefs that are true!. in order to lose knowledge, one either has to lose that particular belief (which i think is difficult if not impossible) or that belief must become false (which i think is not the kind of ignorance you meant)!.

which means aside from holding false beliefs, i think its difficult or impossible to have knowledge and then become ignorant again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
