FIRST give yourself no time for self pity!. I can read it in your question!. going to school does nothing to prepare you for the real world!. Chances are you never had a full time job, paid all of your own bills or know how to do any of those things!.
The biggest focus has to be where to put your items so that you don't loose them and where to sleep!. Then how to feed yourself and get a job
If you have a credit card or any cash left I suggest getting a one month rental on a storage unit!. Put everything you own in there that you can't use such as clothes and personal items!.
Get a part time restaurant job immediately! This way you can eat every time you go to work!. They allow one meal!. This could mean bartender, waiter, dish washer or line cook!.
When you aren't working you can be looking for a job to get back into life!. Take any job that comes your way that has benifits and pay that will allow you to set an apartment with your belongings!. Don't be choosey! You have to admit that you coasted for 4 years and there is a lot of catching up to do!. TAKE any job to get back to square one then you can take the time to look for a job that better suites you!. An employed person is more desirable to a company than an unemployed one!. Most of all, like the Nike commercial says, just do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lets put this into perspective!. (A) all this is due next thursday, so your not homeless!. Right!.!?
(b) you didn't spend $10,000 on a bucket of chicken!. You spent 4 years at night school!. Right!?

I suggest you stop projecting negatively, re evaluate what you do have, then get on with what all humans have to do!. Live for one day at a time!. OK /Www@QuestionHome@Com

Teach film-related topics like making video with handheld DVD recorders!.

Why this!? Good question!. Here's why:

1!. Obama is real big on education -- therefore teachers will get a boost, starting in about 3 days!.

2!. Why film related!? That's where you have a credential!. School people are nuts for credentials!. If you have one -- that's the only area in which they will let you teach -- but the good side is they won't let anyone without that credential teach in your area!. So you gotta narrowcast, so that your cast falls nicely into the narrow mindset of the Educational Powers that Be!.

3!. Is DVD making film related!? Hardly -- but that's where palaver comes in!. Bending the truth in this particular case would be excusable, maybe even justifiable -- it's for your greater good, and probably for the greater good -- so develop a spiel -- and do your palaver as if you believe it -- you've heard of "acting" right!?

4!. Why is such an offer likely to work!? We live in a post-literate world!. Teaching kids to read, or think is just about hopeless these days!. They have to be kept off the streets though -- it's like a daycare/prison type system!. Your activity -- DVD making -- is not totally stupid, or devoid of all potential for skill building or life profitability!. Kids love this stuff -- they don't have to read or think in linear terms -- they can think graphically -- or cinematographically to be precise!. So there's a pull factor in the consumer section of the market -- but they are not the deciders -- but you can wear the Administrators down if you convince tham that your offerring would be vastly popular with the students -- again "acting" -- take a shot!.

If you get the job -- deliver the best value you can to the school, the students, the community!. It's a stupid job, so quit as soon as something decent comes along, but in the meantime, be insanely great, make sure every kid gets as much real education from you as you can possibly deliver!. It's personal --- like everything is!. Your signature is on your work -- no matter what the scene in which you work!. Make things better while you're there, spend your free time trying to get to a better job, maybe write a script, or do some screenplay editing on a freelance basis!.

Hope this helps you -- it comes from a former teacher, who pretty much walked the walk described here -- I taught business law at a State University for two years, while trying to line up a decent job in Washington DC -- which eventually did come through for me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
