Well, yes!. If you are religious, then you probably do as you are told via your holy scripture!. If you are not religious, then your morals are based on what is PC, or at least what you have picked up from society!. If you are very lawful above all, then your morals from from social laws!.

Any way you look at it, you are doing something because someone else thought it was a good idea!.

However, if you choose to be a non-religious anarchist and just be impulsive!.!.!. I guess you can be part of a rare minority!.= that don't do what they are told!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A moral is a way of teaching you the difference between right or wrong!. It does not TELL you what to do, rather it shows what happens, if we take the wrong path, and then leave it up to you to follow what you think is right for you, and be responsible for your own actions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a conscience, and I believe I was born with it!. I assume that most other people have one similar to mine, with a distinct difference between right and wrong (which I seldom follow I might add!.)

Are you asking: If you're told to be moral/have morals it is the same as being told to "do what you're told!?"
If that's the case then no!.
