As per Economists today ,Contentment is defined as stop of growth!. Ambition wise being content is end of road for development!. BUT Contentment, one of the eight fold path of Patangali is said to give birth to spirituality!. A content person may have just stepped in the new lease of spirituality!.

Wanting more and more is like sinking down & down in the sink sand of materialism!.
Even People at the bottom, who are of course in contentment and say " they are content" may be yet to be tested!.

There are some who confess they aren't , but show no materialistic attitude , not knowingly are in deep waters of god!. As saibaba said They who cry on seeing others in pain or feel the same as others being are dear to him ( SAIBABA BEING THE MANIFESTATION OF PARABRAMHA) so were many other saints!.
There is a difference between Content & satisfaction!.
Whether " Have or Not Have"!. A person is content in either conditions !. Content lies being Wholly within self!.
A person gets satisfied after his want is granted to the minimum requirement!. The Humility is aroused here
