I sometimes think that the weak hinder our evolution, but hen I say everyone should get a second chance, but I still think that the weak, and ugly hinder our evolution, DO YOU EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST WAY THINK THE THE WEAK SOMEHOW HINDER THE HUMAN RACE!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many people are afraid to state their true beliefs to the public, but in the realm of Philosophy, that is neccessary!.

How can we understand and advance our collective knowledge and perception if we fear understanding others!?

That being said, I actually disagree with you!.

Weak and Strong refer to different attributes to different people!.

To me, a strong will is superior to a strong body any day!.

No one, no matter how physically tough, can endure hardship in life with a weak will!.

As far as your term "ugly" is concerned, this too is your personal opinion and relative to your ideals, not those of socieity at large!.

We are born different due to genetics!.

Einstein was no looker, I remind you-neither was Benjamin Franklin!.

But Paris Hilton is said by many (myself not among those) to be beautiful!. Is she a sign of evolution taking the proper course!?

Looks and strength may draw crowds, but only Intellect and Will power can drive humanity to greather heights!.

So, evolution-if it favors only the strong and attractive, would be doomed to failure!.

Man did not survive as long as he did by brute strength!.

The Mammoth and Sabertooth far overpowered him!.

He was just a tad smater, harnessing the power of fire, the ability to make tools and form hunting parties!.

I uderstand where you are coming from!. If we look how evolution has worked we can see than the strong survive while the weak perish!. But thanks to the human race no having practically no predators, the weak survive and carry their genes on!. But I believe that evolution will find a way, as nature always does, to progress the human race!. Maybe some new disease or cancer or maybe an opening of the human concious!. There are some important things to consider with this question and all these things tend to show that for the most part, the weak do not hinder us, but allow us to become stronger!. To start with, consider if you would feel different if you, by some accident perhaps, lost your strength and suddenly found yourself to be weak!. You would still be you, but not the "strong you" you once knew!. That alone might change your perspective!. Consider also that those who are not deemed "the best and the brightest" still have a tremendous amount to offer society!. And if we are truly the strong human race we think we are, then we are also strong enough to help those who are severely disabled and those who need help!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Babies are weak and so are the elderly -- it's part of the cycle of life!. Look at all the teenagers on these boards who are always moaning about one thing or the other -- are they weak, too!? Or people who are physically strong and healthy, but dyslexic -- are they weak!? What about people who are intellectual geniuses but have poor social skills!? Does that make them weak!? No one is perfect; we all have our strengths and weaknesses!. (Not being able to recognize the strengths of others is itself a weakness!.) And how does ugliness hinder evolution!? I have also thought that our evolution is drastically slowed down by people (females in particular) choosing mates who are obviously not the more-dominant choices!.

The only thing about this interpretation of what's going on is that we are ignoring the fact that there is still SOMETHING we see in our mates - even if they appear to be the weaker choice!. It could very well be that the natural selectors have changed now that our species doesn't so much rely on strength, speed, etc!.!.!. Rest assured, there's a reason so many people say they look for a good personality in their mate - personality is a catch-all for describing that person's ability to be agreeable in a social situation!.

As far as us being hindered by the weak, I can't say I disagree!. Obviously, I'm not advocating genocide, but it does disgust me to see advanced courses losing funding in high school as remedial courses gain funding!. I agree with Aaron!.!.!.!.!.!.it is more or less the duty of the stronger to assist the weaker!. It gives humanity a sense of purpose!. As for "ugly people"!.!.!.!.beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and outward beauty is only skin deep!.

first and foremost, it depends on what you mean by "weak"!. first of all, for you to say that the physically weak or ugly hinder our species is one of the most atrociously misguided things i've heard in months!. what about the scientists and philosophers who aren't so attractive or physically fit, but have helped us come to an unbelievably profound understanding of who and what we are and just how our world and our universe function!? what would humans be without people like that!? they'd be a bunch of arrogant barbaric worthless idiots, to be completely honest with you!. they would've killed each other off long, long ago, out of pure ignorance!.

Well i believe that a stronger person shouldn't let the weaker person hinder their growth physically or spiritually!.
