Attributes are like objects not capable of good or evil by themselves!. The gun is just a hunk of steel until it's misused, a kitchen knife a tool until it's misused!. So too are attributes!. Many sports managers/coaches have anger management issues but it helps them in their pursuit of titles!. Others turn excessive anger into positives in the same fashion!.

Those with dispassionate natures might find work in law enforcement to be a good way to deal with what is normally a liability!. I am actually quite surprised more serial killers are not cops!. The screening process obviously does nothing to filter them out!. The culture however redirects such urges away from serial killing!. So even the urge to kill can be redirected into a more useful route for society!.

It is actions that constitute evil!. It is hard to think of a context where harming children is beneficial to anybody!. However what constitutes "harm" is very debatable!. I personally find the no spanking ideals to be harmful to a small child's development!. For every child spared excessive physical force 3 others will develop emotional and behavioral problems that cause far greater problems down the road!. As such even well intended actions can sometimes be evil when you consider cause and effect!.

So too is the def of evil!. I personally consider racist groups like the KKK, Black Panthers, NAACP, LULU, reconquistador movement, etc as evil!. I consider Socialism evil!. I consider terrorists and Vegans evil not for their ideals but for all the lies they promote in an attempt to force others to adopt their lifestyle!. Others will not agree with me on those groups!. I don't consider violence as necessarily wrong depending on it's use and context where others consider all physical violence as evil but are perfectly happy to resort to emotional violence which I consider far worse than physical violence!. A bloody nose heals quickly!. Treachery from somebody who pretended to be close to you never heals completely if you fell for it!.

In my personal opinion these are the actions that constitute evil!.
Intentional harm to innocents!.
Misuse/abuse of power!.
Betrayal of trusts!.
Having a viewpoint I consider so vile that it in itself becomes evil!.
Harming a cherished institution such as a nation or cause for
personal gain or other petty reasons!.
Putting things like greed above people!.
Losing all empathy for others!.

I'm forgetting many ideas but basically my ideals on evil are based on my personal code of ethics and viewpoints!. There are convergences and such with others!. Areas that show a large cross section become "evil" in a mainstream way!. For example Nazi concentration camps are mainstream evil because most people find them evil by their own def!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the specifics change over time!. Most of the historical people cast as evil have become icons and that is one step away from being a myth, so the minor attributes are seldom known facts, and the process of demonizing evolves with the perspective of each generation!.

In general I would just say that an intentional unprovoked actions that cause of physical or mental harm, resulting in loss,suffering or death of another person could cause one to be deemed as evil!. Since it is a general principal I am looking at, I have left out the usual list of grievances but other answerer's will cover many of them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
