Why do we have RETARDED shivvers?

Question: Why do we have RETARDED shivvers!?

I can shake and make a stupid noise sometimes when I shivver!. LoL!. No joke, but if i've been outside in the cold and then touch something really warm I can get this really strong shivver and jerk my head all around followed by a little sound sometimes!. Anyone have like this!? IS it normal!?
