Question: Relationship between Man and Animals!?
Why do you think man bonds with animals!? Especially when you consider how intellectually inferior they are, how spiritually limited!?
Not to denigrate animals, of course!. It amazes me how connected I can feel with them (e!.g!., my pet dog)!. And sometimes it makes me sad to realize that they can't experience the wonder of self-awareness!. But when I look into their eyes, it seems that they might know something more than we give them credit for!.!. What if we humans are just like animals, and there are advanced levels of awareness that surround us, but are beyond our reach!? I see the beast in myself, and I wonder if the beast feels it in himself!.

Animals supply food, drink, loyalty, and companionship!. On top of that they can also provide hours of entertainment, pride, and support, a means of carrying loads, and providing transportation!. Animals satisfy many needs that humans have!.
You have to realize that humans are animals!. The main thing that makes us different is that out social awareness and language ability gives us an advantage that accumulates as our culture and civilization matures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. Humans are animals
2!. Humans are not that superior intellectually to animals!. The only ability that we seem to have that is not possessed by another animal species is the ability to reason abstractly!.
3!. Humans are not the only animal who has bonds with other animals!.
4!. There are many animals who experiments have conclusively proven are self aware!. And just because experiments have yet to prove it doesn't mean that there aren't many more!. It more likely means that the experiments used are not applicable to every species!.
Please research a little biology before making archaic claims that have been repeatedly laid to rest by modern science!.

Humans are not more than animals!. We are by definition animals!. You can think beyond facts all you want but in the end, you're simply deluding yourself!. Setting up some imaginary situation that's completely at odds with the facts is an act of stupidity!. The reason it's an act of stupidity and not an act of ignorance is because you've stated that you're aware of the facts!. Your beliefs are forcing you to ignore those facts and hold steadfastly to the notion that we're somehow separate and above the rest of the animal kingdom!. Believing something doesn't make it true though, and people in general need to come to terms with reality!.
And by the way, it's not preliminary evidence that other animals are self aware!. It's definitive and indisputable evidence!. We are merely products of evolution!. To believe that we magically came to possess abilities seen nowhere else in the animal kingdom is ridiculous and I will always point that out to people who hold this outdated and moronic belief!.

I apologize if I come of as rude but it's not my intention!. In all honesty it annoys the hell out of me when people say that we're somehow different and better than the rest of the animal kingdom!. Mainly because some really disgusting atrocities are allowed to be committed on a daily basis because of this belief!. I didn't mean to jump down your throat but I do mean to convey some facts!.
