The big bang happened!. Matter expanded outward!. Eventually some life resulted!. None of it was "sudden" at all!. When we die, we do not "enter nothingness", we cease to be!. Those are not the same things!. "Nothingness" is not a place that can be entered!. We have consciousness!.!.!.we exist!.!.!.our consciousness ceases!. End of story!.
