Question: Is this a valid reason as to why we haven't knowingly been visited by aliens!?

If some aliens are going around space searching for a planet with life for them to contact with we assume that they're pretty intelligent and probably looking for other beings to help them futher explore the universe!.
They'd come, watch for a while to figure things out, and what would they see!? They'd see a planet where the inhabitants are in a constant war against each other!. They'd see aggression on every level!. They'd see us fighting and decide that if we're the type of beings which murder, torture, and rape or our kind, what the hell would we be willing to do to them!.

I believe that there are other beings in the universe, but it will be a long time before they bother with us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's possible humanity was cultivated on this planet, the same way one would cultivate a bacteria colony in a petri dish!.

I can think of only Two reasons why an alien species would do this;

1) They're the neighbourhood bully and they want some meat in the way of potential hostility!.

2) They're a peaceful race, and need us to fight their intergalactic space war for them!.

Interestingly, #2 would be a prerogative for an alien species providing Humanity with advanced technology!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Every time a person speculates as to what aliens might think of us it's really a reflection of what that person thinks of humanity as a whole!. Speilberg uses this all time to pass judgements on the human race!. it's a way of pretending objectivity so that we can avoid feeling hypocritical for disapproving of ourselves as a species!.

I do believe there is other life in the universe but I don't believe it has reach earth unless it has in the form of bacteria!. Most life in the Universe is probably not as developed as we are!. The life as developed as us hasn't ventured too far from their own planet and the more developed life forms probably are too far to get here yet!. The closest star is 4!.3 light years away and that doesn't have planets!.!.!.the distances are great!. Plus what are the chances in a vast and ever expanding universe they'd even find this planet with life on it!.!.!.!.

As for them seeing us and thinking we are not a good species because of all the violence!. Violence is natural!. People today don't have to fight as much to survive!. We don't have to run and hunt and kill for our food!. Men are more agressive then women and they tended to be the hunters and they still have all of those urges because it is a basic primal instinct and there aren't many outlets for that!. Violence is more prevelent in more densly populated area!. People want space to move around and this causes tension when they cannot, so you pair that with basic animal instincts and of course there is going to be violence!. You have to realize the rest of the animal kingdom is just as violent with all the same problems!. Including war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well Rob it looks like you've already answered your own question!. I agree; if there are aliens out there who know about us (and IMHO that is a big if), they probably just have no desire to make contact with us!. We humans may be the most advanced species on the planet, but that doesn't mean we aren't still primitive and immature in an absolute sense!.

Any alien race out there capable of traveling the stars would necessarily be at the very least thousands of years ahead of our own species, and probably millions of years!. The human race itself is only about 100,000 years old or so, and we've been an industrial, science-using species for only a few centuries, the blink of an eye in cosmic terms!. Just think how much we've advanced in just the past few centuries, or even the past few decades!. Not only are our science & technology progressing, but they're progressing exponentially!. Now think how advanced our descendants will be in another million years!. In another million years, humanity's descendants will be so advanced as to seem utterly alien to us today!. They would be as far above us as we are above a colony of ants!.

All of which begs the question: if we humans have no interest or reason to initiate contact with a colony of ants, including trying to communicate with them and even just getting them to comprehend who or what we are, then why would some super-advanced aliens have any interest or reason to try to contact us!? It's not just that they're way ahead of us technologically and have matured enough not to have any more violence or other problems in their society!. Their very thinking and mental processes would be so beyond our own mental capacities that even the most basic concepts of their existence would be beyond our ability to comprehend!. now the universe is huge and the probability of other life is big now wether they re in the "prehistory" or in the "future"(advanced space shuttles and starships and stuff)!.i dont know!. then why the hell should they be evil or good or neutral that is just an image that we create on our own base!.so they shouldnt be destructive or judges maybe they are but maybe they aren't but when ppl think of aliens they think salvation or end of the earth I h8 that WTF come on if it was that way we wouldnt be still here!.
maybe there were more advanced cultures BUT they were extinguished by:themsleves or another culture or bingbang:it has a expanding proces and a compresion proces and theorically the compresion proces is happening right now!.and we know nothing
BUT think that they were too advanced that they already detected us but werent interested in us so we know nothing!.
they were like us and as they were creating tecnology they destroyed themselves and that happened to the rest of the advanced cultures so WE would be the most advanced!.(probably not lol atleast one must survive)
