Question: Do we really have free will!? i believe in determinism!.!.!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I'm not sure what determinism is (I have to be honest) but I have to say I am undecided as the whether free will exists or not!.
I certainly have seen no evidence for it, just as I see no evidence for fate, god or a soul!.

Our bodies, our brains are programmed to do certain things under certain conditions!. What many see as being free will is certainly not that!.

For example, if you see a beggar and give them money, you might say it was your choice to give, from your free will!. But some time in your past you heard it was good to help the poor, so when you come across that situation you follow what's been drilled into you!.
This is just a simple example, but all our actions are determined by the learning we've undergone and the environment around us!.

If free will truly existed, we could will anything to happen, as that would be the only true freedom!. As it is our wills are locked inside the laws of nature, and the pathways of our brains!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I dont believe we can ever truely have free will!.!. Certain things restrict us such as the culture you live in, the world around us, our human nature and even things such as gravity!. If we are truely free to do as we wish, why is it when I walk out with a certain outfit on that is deemed unacceptable to the culture living there, I will get ridiculed and laughed at and maybe even forced to go home and change if it is within the cultures belief to cover up all except the eyes!. It is also human nature to want to fit in with those around us, that is why we are restricted to what we wear and how we act!. We would feel uncomfortable and may even become depressed if we did what we wanted when we wanted as society would reject us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Then you will continue to believe that your life/health/relationships are being controlled by something outside of yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Free will is just as logical as 1+1 = 3!.
How can we have it if we have a cause for everything!? Without a cause: Heeello randomness ::D:D:D (Randomness = not free will!.!.!. hurr durr!.!.!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
